Going Soft Modular synthesizers would seem to make the perfect candidate for software modeling&#8230;in hardware they are expensive, take up plenty of space, and have no (sane) patch recall system. There a couple of great emulations, including the Moog Modular by Arturia, but I am especially liking RUHR, a Reaktor Synth by Herwig Krass. This synth is a monster, taking a long time to open on an I7 with 12 gig of RAM, but once it does open it really gives a nice taste of a modern patchable modular&#8230; and just like the real thing you can easily lose a couple of hours playing with it!
